AI Practice

Practice against named AI bots with distinct styles. Each bot maps to an Elo-style practice level — these are practice labels, not official chess ratings.

Free bots

Rookie Rami (~500) — beginner; more random moves.
Tactical Tessa (~1100) — capture-focused; good default.
Solid Sam (~1300) — balanced and defensive.
Endgame Eva (~1500) — material-safe, promotion-aware.
Chaos Kai (~1700) — aggressive and risky.

Premium bots (Grandmaster Atlas, Coach Clara, and others) are planned — not playable yet.

Local practice rating

Each variant tracks a local practice rating in your browser. Win against tougher bots to see it rise; rematch Rookie Rami if you want a softer game.

How to improve

Read the in-game quick rules and rotating tips.
Try Full Revamp first, then explore other variants.
Use undo sparingly to learn from mistakes.
Open the Coach panel for variant tips from Coach Nora (free).
Use one free basic local review per day after games.
